The album features three analog keyboards: an Optigan which derives its sounds from optigal discs on which are recorded 2 second loops, a Fender Rhodes electric piano and a Moog Voyager monophonic synthesizer.
Ambergris is a live-to-tape project in which three musician-producers conjure ambience of being alone with the spookiness of a dark forest at night. All of the sounds here are improvised percussion and tree branches run through various signal processing devices.
